Eaton Surge Protection Devices
When your load is critical and uptime is a priority, it is wise to take the extra step to include Eaton surge protection devices (SPDs) in your power
protection design. Having a UPS is important to protect your equipment from power losses and power surges, and an SPD in front of the UPS will provide layered protection against voltage spikes and surges.
An SPD can also extend the life of your UPS, protecting it and other critical equipment, reducing the risk of costly downtime. Contact your HM Cragg sales manager to discuss which options are best for your next project.
New Eaton Portable AC Units Comply with Highest DOE Efficiency Requirements
Eaton’s newest portable AC units for network closets and server rooms are designed to comply with the highest energy efficiency requirements from the Department of Energy (DOE), California Energy Commission (CEC) and Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). In addition, these units use R32 refrigerant to meet the latest U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements to lower the Global Warming Potential (GWP) below 700. With up to 34 percent more efficiency, the new AC units provide more cooling using less electricity to save both energy and operating costs, while also increasing cooling capacity from 12,000 BTU/hr to 13,000 BTU/hr.
