The Grid | Power FNC nickel cadmium battery is based on unique fiber structure technology. Here, the active material is incorporated into a fleece consisting of nickel-plated plastic fibers, which creates a stable electrochemical connection between the components. The FNC battery can therefore withstand the highest shock and vibration stresses and has a long service life and cycle life even under extreme temperature conditions. Due to the four available performance classes X, H, M and L, a very wide range of stationary UPS applications can be optimally covered. High-current discharges in diesel generator applications up to long-term discharges in classic UPS systems can be carried out efficiently with the appropriate battery type. Especially in applications with extreme temperature influences, the Grid | Power FNC succeeds with its long service life and thus reduces the replacement intervals and costs for a new battery system. -
The Grid | Power V L (series OPzS) is a low-maintenance, vented lead-acid 2V cell in conventional technology with liquid electrolyte (dilute sulfuric acid). OPzS batteries are among the longest-lasting lead batteries and are reliable energy suppliers with a long service life and the highest level of reliability, even for critical applications. The vented lead-acid batteries consist of positive tubular plates and negative grid plates and, due to their structure, offer an extremely long cycle life. This is achieved by the protection of the active material through the woven polyester gauntlets. They are therefore ideal for use in areas with high cyclical and capacitive loads, such as energy supply systems, telecommunications equipment or long load times (between 1 h and > 10 h) for safety lighting. The SCIMITAR Series are 1kVA and 2kVA inverters which are 19” rack-mountable and only 1RU high. They operate from a 12V, 24V or 48VDC source and produce a 115 or 230VAC output. The tightly regulated low distortion 50 or 60Hz sine wave is produced by DSP controlled power circuits using an advanced high frequency, pulsewidth modulation technique which achieves up to 92% efficiency. A built-in Static Transfer Switch allows connection of a utility or other AC power source which can be switched to the load automatically in the event that the inverter switches off. In normal operation these inverters isolate the load from wide voltage swings , transients and noise usually present in the AC utility and which can cause equipment reliability problems. Output voltage and frequency are programmable from the front panel, as well as Baud Rate for the RS232 communications interface which can be used for remote monitoring.
